Jessica I. Rodriguez is passionate about helping serve people and communities who are often overlooked. She utilizes her native Spanish to assist the local Houston Spanish-speaking community and those throughout Texas and the United States when needed. She focuses her practice on catastrophic personal injury, products liability, and wrongful death claims.
Before joining Ramsey Law Group’s team, Ms. Rodriguez worked at another prominent civil litigation firm assisting with thousands of personal injury and mass tort cases. She began working with Ramsey Law Group in 2018 as a law clerk and then was offered a position as an associate attorney. She now handles a substantial docket of catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims throughout Texas.
Ms. Rodriguez was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and raised in Houston, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University and her Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law. During law school, Ms. Rodriguez was very involved with local minority communities and co-chaired the 13th Illinois Latino Law Forum, a pipeline program designed to encourage and mentor children to strive in school and consider becoming attorneys.
Ms. Rodriguez is currently an active member of four different Houston Bar Association committees, including Lawyers 4 a Beautiful Houston Committee, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, LGBTQ+ Committee (founding member), and AIDS Outreach Committee. She also serves as an Advocacy Coach for South Texas College of Law’s Varsity Moot Court Team, which is routinely #1 in the nation.
Outside of work Ms. Rodriguez enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She has met five presidents from the United States, Mexico, Croatia, and Ghana during her travels. She enjoys educating herself about different cultures, particularly through trying exotic foods and meeting new people.
