Scott F. Lemanski, Attorney at Law, Corpus Christi, Texas (August, 2010- Present) As a solo practitioner, I have worked extensively in both criminal and juvenile defense, with experience in both felony and misdemeanor jury trials, as well as direct appeals. I am in court almost on a daily basis, and I am familiar with courtroom procedure from arraignment through trial. Additionally, I have extensive experience representing both children and respondent parents in Child Protective Services cases, from adversary hearing through trial. I have represented clients in both private and CPS adoption cases. I have served as both Attorney Ad Litem and Court Master in mental commitment hearings. I have worked in both municipal and JP courts, and I am therefore familiar with the types of cases that are heard in County Court at Law #5 on appeal. I have also gained experience in supervising office staff members, and in mentoring both law student interns and newly-licensed attorneys.

(July, 2008-August 2010) As an associate attorney, I assisted on a variety of civil cases, gaining experience in the area of motion practice, as well as family law, health law, child custody, adoptions, as well as the day-to-day responsibilities inherent in operating a small law practice.

Nueces County District Attorney's Office, Corpus Christi, Texas (July, 2006-July, 2008) As an Assistant District Attorney and Juvenile Prosecutor, I was responsible for all aspects of criminal prosecution from intake through jury selection and trial of both misdemeanor and felony cases. I was in court almost on a daily basis and became familiar with courtroom procedure and etiquette. I worked closely with both law enforcement officers and with juvenile probation officers, and I interacted with crime victims and with other witnesses.
