James B. Coulter, III, has devoted his career to defending individuals charged with criminal and DUI offenses in Brevard County, Florida. After completing his undergraduate work at the University of Maryland, James earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law in 2005. After law school, James began his career prosecuting misdemeanor and serious felony offenses at the State's Attorney for the 7th Judicial Circuit of Florida. As a former Assistant State Attorney, James understands how prosecutor's make their decisions. His experience as a former prosecutor helps him identify weaknesses in the prosecutor's case.
James is active in the legal community and serves as an adjunct professor of Criminal Law, Ethics, and Evidence at Everest University in Melbourne, FL. He is licensed to practice law in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. James is a member of the Florida Justice Association and the Brevard County Bar Association.
