Jason M. Kueser has spent his legal career representing individuals, groups, and companies in litigation and arbitration. In addition, he has, and continues to represent clients in class action litigation.
Jason possesses an excellent combination of business and legal knowledge and experience, which he utilizes for his clients’ advantage. Prior to becoming an attorney, Jason worked in the financial services industry for several years. Jason is a former Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative of a local broker/dealer and Registered Investment Advisor. During his tenure in the financial services industry, he developed his own client base and also assisted the firm’s managing partners as a case preparation specialist. This gave him extensive experience in developing financial plans for the firm’s clients. Jason also worked as an accountant for a national mutual fund company, which provided him with background as to how investment management companies operate.
Jason is currently admitted to the Missouri Bar, the Kansas Bar, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. In
addition, he is a member of the American Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and PIABA (Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association). He currently serves on the editorial board of the PIABA Bar Journal. Jason has also written articles that have been published in law reviews, industry legal publications, and newspapers.
Jason is an alumnus of the University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC) School of Law, where he graduated with an emphasis in litigation and business law. While in law school, he was recognized for academic excellence by earning Dean's List honors each semester. In addition, Jason also served as the Managing Editor of The Urban Lawyer, which is the American Bar Association's National Quarterly on State and Local Government Law. He also served as an associate on the UMKC Law Review for two years, and was one of sixteen members of the Ellison Moot Court Competition.
Jason was also a recipient of the Marvin & Patricia Rich Corporate Law Prize, a merit-based annual award which recognizes law students of superior character, academic achievement and potential and that plan to pursue a corporate legal specialty after graduation. Jason was a student member of the American Bar Association, a member of the UMKC Student Bar Association, and a member of the UMKC Law School Business & Tax Law Society.
Jason also completed undergraduate and post-graduate studies in business at The Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration at UMKC, where he earned a Masters of Business Administration (emphasis in Finance), and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. For his post-graduate studies at UMKC, Jason was admitted as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, which is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
