About George Bellas

George has over 35 years of experience in various types of litigation.  Currently he is the principal in a small firm in suburban Cook County, Illinois, which handles various types of litigation.   George concentrates in commercial and business disputes.
Recently he was heavily engaged in prosecuting claims throughout the U.S. against manufacturers of SUV's for the design defects which made them unreasonably susceptible to rollovers and posed an unreasonable risk to occupants of serious injuries.   George was recognized by the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA) for his work in rollover litigation which helped advance the public's knowledge of the Firestone tire and Ford Explorer catastrophe. George was one of the recipients of the prestigious Steven Sharp Public Service Award at the ATLA Annual Meeting in Montreal.
George recently served on the 7th Circuit e-Discovery Committee which helped promulgate guidelines for the handling of e-discovery issues in the District Courts.  George has authored several articles on e-discovery issues,  has lectured to national bar groups on the recent amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and  has served as a panelist at The Sedona Conference.
George has leveraged his knowledge of technology into every case for the benefit of his clients, which are his primary concern.
