I was born and raised for the most part in Mobile, Al. I graduated from high school in Lee's Summit, Mo and then moved to Spain to serve a two-year LDS mission. After my mission, I came to Fayetteville to attend the University of Arkansas, where I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science & Latin American Studies with a minor in Spanish.
I am interested in immigration law for many reasons: (1) the challenge; (2) the unique character of this area of practice; (3) its changing nature; and (4) most importantly, the opportunity to serve others.
I have been working in the immigrant community for the majority of the last eight years. I enjoy learning from such a diverse and interesting community, and I truly feel that I learn something new every day and that I am a better person as a result.
I continue to prepare myself to practice in the field of immigration through work in the U of A's immigration clinic, my employment and by taking every available class that touches the subject offered at my law school.
