Bob Tarantino - Attorney Profile

Bob joined Heenan Blaikie’s Entertainment Law Group in 2001 after practising with Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City. He focuses his practice on entertainment and intellectual property law, with an emphasis on film and television production, financing, recording, publishing, licensing, distribution, and intellectual property acquisition and protection. He works with clients ranging from artists and independent producers to Canadian and foreign studios, financiers, completion guarantors, and writers and directors at every stage of production, from development to delivery.
Bob is past vice-chair of the Executive Committee of the Ontario Bar Association's (OBA) Entertainment, Media and Communications Section, and is a frequent panellist and lecturer on various matters relating to entertainment law and intellectual property. He is also the author of Under Arrest: Canadian Laws You Won’t Believe, published by Dundurn Press in 2007.
