Attorney Sandak, a Stamford native, has practiced in Connecticut for nearly thirty five years. He has extensive trial experience in personal injury litigation, but in the last decade he has concentrated on commercial litigation, including zoning litigation, tax appeals, and complex condemnation, business torts, contracts, and land use litigation. He has recently been recognized as one of the "Best Lawyers" in the New York Tri-State Region in the field of commercial litigation and “Best Lawyers in America-2007”. He has served as a Special Master for the U.S. District Court of Connecticut since 1993 and has been active as a settlement master in the Connecticut Superior Court in Stamford. A significant part of attorney Sandak's practice has involved ADR and he is frequently retained by private parties to serve as a mediator. He served as Corporation Counsel for the City of Stamford in 1984 & 1985. Since then he has continued to be involved in a wide range of municipal law issues and has represented the police unions in Stamford and Greenwich. He holds B.A. degree from Colby College, 1968 and J.D. degree from Syracuse University, 1971. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the District of Columbia, and in the U.S. Courts for the District of Connecticut, Court of Federal Claims and the Supreme Court.
