Ms. Cowin has argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and volunteered as a mediator in a joint program sponsored by the Better Business Bureau and the Fresno Superior Court. These materials have been used in training for mental health workers throughout the state of North Carolina and are also utilized in a peacemaking course at South Dakota State University.
