Solo practitioner with dual practice to make good use of Mexico and New York, licenses:
I provide advice in International law –more precisely, Mexican law– through JurisMex Corp., a consulting firm based on Houston, Texas where . As part of this practice, I serve (1) individuals living in the United States who have pending legal issues in Mexico, such as family law matters, (2) U.S. based corporations doing business in Mexico, and (3) U.S. law firms required to apply Mexican law domestically in the context of business planning or litigation, mainly by serving as expert witness in Mexican law for U.S. litigation. This aspect of my practice takes up to 50% of my time.
The second part of my practice focus on U.S. immigration law, offered through Pinto–Leon Law Firm, PC to non-U.S. citizens, mostly in employment-based visas and permanent residency; and secondly, serving as expert witness in U.S. federal law for litigation in Mexico. This aspect of my practice takes up to 50% of my time.
