Litigation--I have prosecuted and defended complex litigation from commercial disputes to superfund matters to liquor liability actions. A substantial part of my success in the courtroom is my ability to negotiate and mediate practical settlements. Analyzing the case and sizing up one's opponent and the factfinder is critical to success. This allows me to advise clients when to compromise and when to push the case to trial. In doing so, I draw on my experience as a litigator and a former federal law clerk to devise settlement and negotiation scenarios as well as litigation plans.
Environmental--experience in litigating environmental claims in courts. This includes successful RCRA-related litigation seeking a judgment that a current plant operator must be allocated a share of the environmental clean-up costs.
