Located in The Woodlands, Texas, north of Houston, Kalish Law Office was established in 1984 and provides legal services in the areas of adoption (foreign and international), family law, wills/probate, real estate, business/contracts, and family-based immigration. One or more staff members/attorneys are fluent in Spanish.
We enjoy working on unusual cases. We have been involved in several unusual domestic and international adoption cases, and handle both immigration side and state court filings. In the family-based immigration area we have been able to assist people who have been in the US for over 40-50 years gain and document their legal status. We also enjoy cases that allow us to use all of our staff and attorneys to solve unique and interconnected problems and give the client a "holistic" experience (for instance, using our combined experience to help a client with a family businss solve both business and family problems, while helping them create a "future plan" in their personal and professional lives).
We come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, and our clients do as well. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Bob Kalish was a psychologist who worked with disabled children and adults. Laura Kalish was a chiropractor, has taught jurisprudence and risk management, and currently works on keeping the practice up to date with networking and technology and can Twitter, Ning, Ping, and Facebook with the best of 'em! Sio Ramirez Pitre has a degree in women's studies, is fluent in Spanish, and has written and taught on risk management and defense issues. She is a mom who enjoys dealing with her "littlest clients' in our adoption cases.
