Dustin Rawlin represents businesses in complex civil litigation matters in courts throughout the United States generally involving product liability, business tort, and commercial litigation. Dustin is part of a team that serves as international coordinating counsel for a medical device manufacturer. He has successfully defended numerous cases involving a wide variety of medical devices.
Dustin is currently defending personal injury claims related to a stress urinary incontinence device as part of a team that is national coordinating counsel in the In re: Mentor Corp. ObTape Transobturator Sling Products Liability Litigation (MDL No. 2004). Dustin has represented companies such as Bridgestone/Firestone, Chevron, ERICO International, Experian Information Solutions, Goodrich, Mentor Corporation, Procter & Gamble, R.J. Reynolds, and Zimmer.
Dustin is the immediate past chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and chair of the Litigation Section's Commercial Docket Committee. Dustin has been appointed to serve on the Northern District of Ohio Advisory Group and is currently co-chair of the Civil Rules Committee. He has been appointed by the Cuyahoga Common Pleas Court as an arbitrator and business mediator. Dustin administers the Cleveland Office's Private Landlord Tenant Project in partnership with the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, in which Jones Day attorneys represent indigent tenants pro bono in eviction actions and other landlord-tenant disputes. Dustin also has been appointed to provide pro bono representation in several criminal matters before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
